New Forge for New Building
May 16, 2007 – 9:50 amFinaly found a new forge. Ok, its not actually a forge because their welder hasn’t answered his phone yet. But I found a strong blower, ashgate, firepot, and hood. The rest I can put togeather in an afternoon with my MIG. If it works well, I am going to rebuild the one at the Ohio Ren with the same parts and end this rinkedy dink coal forges that I have been using when I perform.
Never really put good money into building up hot coal forges because for big work I use gas, but can’t use gas when I am demonstrating at the shows. So always just kind of did small work when being watched and did hammers and axes when nobody was around. Now it’s full speed ahead, lets smack on some steel!
Oh he, we have a 360 lb Sweedish anvil in Kentucky now. This year is going to be fun fun fun…. fire fire fire…. hammer hammer hammer….
