Why Check Cards can be a bad thing…
May 20, 2007 – 3:49 pmThe story of the building in Kentucky continues. I am now well beyond the half way point and while I have to give many thanks to Rolland and Becky for the help, the great majority of the this year’s work has been done by myself. I mention this because I am damned proud. Proud that I can do it despite my disability and proud that I have enough common sense to take my time when I start to fall down. Yes, I am still a bit odd in that I cant really tell when I am starting to loose it until I start to bleed, but I figure that is why blood is red. Like stop lights, it gets your attention.
So out of the 8 sections (10’ x 10’ each) which need flooring, 6 are now finished. Out of the 11 sections that need exterior walls, 7 are done. I am figuring I will complete the construction, including interior walls on Monday and start painting on Tuesday. So what’s wrong with check cards?
Well, I came back Friday Night / Saturday morning at about 5 AM. I gave Aimee the Paypal Check card to get ready for Aubreyahna’s birthday party. It was my intention of going back to work on the building today (Sunday), but I am now stranded in Ohio till the bank opens. Why? Well, guess what happens when you leave your check card sitting in the machine and drive off. After some period of time, it must suck it back in because she drove back a few minutes later and it was gone. Woops…
So I am cashless, gassless, and stranded in Columbus. No problem, I will get some extra sleep right? Nope. After eating some yummy cake and pizza at the party, Aimee is violently ill and in bed. This leaves me up with the kids. Actually, the kidos are taking a nap and I am working on the blog list program. I am posting this to see if the list updates properly according to most recent blog update.
So tomorrow in the AM, or tonight in the wee AM it is back to Kentucky and my bed o rocks (that story later).
