John Todd, the USC Rapist

The man convicted of being the University of South Carolina Rapist was once issued a charter from Gavin and Yvonne Frost’s Church and School of Wicca to operate a Wiccan Church in Dayton, OH. Alone, this would mean little to me but when one adds in all the other graduates and associates to what Gavin and Yvonne Frost have joyfully written about child molestation and rape, I do draw a connection between their teachings and the actions of their students.

Note: This page will be updated as I find more information about the subject. I am not in any way stating that any claims made by John Todd are 100% true and accurate. Obviously, they are not. However, as the FBI has conducted research into the wild claims made during the Satanic Panic scare and in part indicates that at the core of wild claims is often a foundation of truth, I am looking into the many claims he has made to discover what some of that foundation of truth may or may not be.

When I discuss John Todd, remember that according to Gavin and Yvonne Frost’s book, The Witches Bible, Wiccans are instructed to torture, molest, intoxicate and rape children to initiate them into Wicca. After speaking to a child psychologist, I have been assured this would more likely than not leave a child with very serious emotional and cognitive issues.

Later, Gavin and Yvonne Frost’s book was republished as A Good Witches Bible, there in they state firmly that the contents of Chapter 4 (which detail the torture, molestation, intoxication and rape of children) were in fact the teachings of the Church and School of Wicca previously, but that for factors which include the potential for law suits, nobody under the age of 18 should have this done formally.

John Todd claimed to have been born to a Witchcraft family but later converted to Christianity. He spoke against Witchcraft and the Occult in the early 1970s, but later became involved in the Church and School of Wicca. Perhaps believing the Witchcraft of his family was not kin to the Witchcraft / Wicca of love and light that was becoming popular during that time.

1976 – John Todd was the head of the Dayton Ohio based Watchers Church of Wicca, a chartered church of Gavin and Yvonne Frost’s Church and School of Wicca.

Karen Schnipper – According to various accounts of John Todd’s story, Karen Schnipper was a 16 year old run away girl who entered John Todd’s occult shop in 1976 and begged him to take her to Chicago because she was the victim of incest and abuse at the hands of her father. John Todd, who had previously worked with youth, believed her story and accommodated her, taking her from Ohio across state lines to Illinois.

According to other versions of the story, Isaac Bonewits and Gavin frost investigated John Todd and uncovered underage sex and drug use. This was the stated reason the Church and School of Wicca withdrew John Todd’s charter.

Conflict in stories – John Todd seems to claim that the problems occurred as a result of Isaac Bonewits and Gavin Frost’s investigation. He seems to feel the investigation by these two was prompted by other interests. If that is not the case, what prompted Isaac Bonewits and Gavin Frost to investigate a man who who claimed he was trying to protect the victim of child abuse and incest? It does seem obvious that the story as told is not complete.

According to John Todd, Isaac Bonewits is the enforcer for the occult / illuminati. While this sounds like an absurd claim, there is a great deal of information concerning boggled attempts on John Todd’s life. If such attempts on his life were factual, as they occurred after denouncing the Church and School of Wicca such might cause a person to believe it was the organization he denounced which was attempting to kill him.

Note that although the above URL seems to make some ridiculous claims, there is a level of truth, which can be seen at Gavin and Yvonne Frost’s own website. It is clear that both URLs agree that Gavin and Yvonne Frost hate the Christian religion with a passion and do seem intent on overthrowing it. In their book, The Witches Bible, they seem to refer to it as the establishment.

In Isaac Bonewits’s youth he was involved with not only the Aquarian Anti-Defamation League, but was involved in the investigation of John Todd and the issue of statements concerning John Todd which have been used to defend Gavin Frost in the matter. Interestingly enough, those statements contain references to Gavin Frost assisting Isaac Bonewits in his investigation. So it does seem fair that John Todd knew that Isaac Bonewits was allied with Gavin Frost and that Isaac Bonewits was in some form associated with an organization which seems rather clearly intent on opposing some of the very things John Todd had written. If he and his family had in fact been shot at, who else would a reasonable person believe was attempting to kill him?

According to Kerr Cuhulain in several publicly posted articles, John Todd has made the following claims.

As Isaac Bonewits is the former Arch Druid of Ár nDraíocht Féin: A Druid Fellowship, Inc. one can see at least that John Todds seemingly wild claims may have some root in the happenings (and dreamings) of his real world life. He was obviously associated with these people for a time. Ah but what about those dreamings or was it dilutions?

1980s

John Todd resurfaced and was arrested as the University of South Carolina Rapist. While working as a karate instructor, he was also accused of molesting several students. He is currently being detained in a maximum-security facility for high-risk sex offenders. I am attempting to locate and contact him as I believe he can point me in the direction of further information which might uncover the truth.

Today

John Todd has reportedly returned to Wicca, although this might be an attempt by some to stick the University of South Carolina Rapist with the pagan community rather than the Christian community. If so, it seems a rather silly attempt as both have rapists and other evil doers despite claims to the opposite.

Kerr Cuhulain - Kerr Cuhulain, he has stated that his investigation of folk who have made wild claims against the Church and School of Wicca should no way be seen as support of Gavin and Yvonne Frost. He concurs that he has noticed the patter that I have observed, attempted to discuss this with Gavin Frost, and Gavin Frost closed all avenues of communication. Despite the emails I have received condemning Kerr Cuhulain for defending Gavin and Yvonne Frost in his articles, I find him an intelligent, respectful and very moral man who is deserving of our respect in this matter. His research has provided me with tons of leads and I look forward to any assistance he cares to offer.

Current Conclusion – Certainly no organization should be judged by a single member or former member. However, as I add information about just who has been involved with the Church and School of Wicca and what their claims have been, a pattern will begin to be clear.
