… *sniffle* You mean we can’t bait and verbally smack around the trolls anymore anywhere other than here? *sniff* (tear)

Nope, I would like real conversation. Additionaly, I am going to start blocking folk by IP address when they do not stay on topic, weather I agree with their rants or not.
I have come to the realization that Shadowhawk and folk like him are attempting to disrupt discussion on this matter with childish behavior. Took me a while to figure it out, but there it is.

A.J I am a fan of your work. I gave my husband a copy of your book Wicca For Men. He liked it very much. And I do agree with you about all of the child molestation rituals that the Frosts have written about, but do you think it is insane of me to still respect the Frosts for some of the good they have done for the pagan community? I dont mean this as a rant or anything so please to block me. Also I was wonder if you believed in Karma? And if you do how do you think the effigy burning will effect your Karma? Also another question… when and if do you think you will make it over to Missouri for a book signing or something? Brightest Blessings

First, I have never said I was going to burn the Frosts in effigy. You, like most, have recieved misinformation. I do not believe in karma in the new age neopagan sense. I do believe in karma in a more easern sense. In the sense that it is tempered with things such as duty and dharma. I am more an enthusiast of the Bagdavita and ancient writtings of India (and surounding areas) than of Silver Ravenwolf or the likes.
However, if I were to buy into ‘three times good and three times bad’ the way most folk do, I would not be concerned as I attempt to do good in all things. I think the automatic idea that causing harm is bad is just plain silly. Would it be a good or bad thing to kill Hitler when he was at his peek of power? I think it would be a good thing. Will post more on karma seperatly, you got me thinking.
Do I think you are insane for respecting the Frosts for the good things they have done for the Pagan community? No. I think you are believing what they and others are claiming about their deeds. Most of which are not accurate at all.
If one reads the literature of the 1970s, one finds an entirly different story. One filled with hate, homophobia, assault, and countless confrontations. Today, books written by folk like Raven Grimassi, Chas Clifton, and others do more than fail to mention the past; they attempt to rewrite history.
As an example, Raven Grimassi has been rather public in saying he did not write the information about the Frosts. Who did? Gavin and Yvonne Frost did themselves. The Frosts seem to be at the very center of generating the folk who fueled the Satanic Panic industry as many of there students went on to become involved in that industry. The list goes on and on.
What good have they done for the pagan community that is not a lie? I am unaware of much and when ever I become aware of something new, I later find it too is a lie.
So insane? No, you are simply believing what you are reading; most of which was probably written by the Frosts themselves.
On blocking people. The only person I have blocked is Shadowhawk and I only took that action when he posted to my photo of my children that they were gay.
By A.J. Drew on Aug 3, 2007
My high priest went through the church and school of wicca back in the 80’s. And he is a gay man has been all his life. The coven that I belong to has many children including my own. when i reached my first degree initiation after the ceremony. he pulled out some of the work books that was given to him by the school. as i read through it i didnt see anything abnormal or shocking until i came to the part of the ritual deflowerment of children. i looked at my HP and HPS like they were nuts! they told me that they in no way condone those teachings. and that gavin and yavonne were a bit off kilter. i put all thoughts aside of the frosts. my coven has never done anything like that to our children and never would. hell, my HPS works for the department of family services for goddess sakes!
then i stumble onto a blog that was talking about the ritual you are wanting to do at the witches ball. i told my HP and HPS what was going on. much to my dismay they are on the the frosts side. so i guess you could say that i am torn, torn between my loyalty to my HP and my HPS and the truth. i have never told them how i truly felt about this but i guess i will have to sooner or later.

OH MY GOD!

That ass!(Shadowhawk or Tim Workman I mean)
That is about all I can say that can be said. How can people attack children?
I just don’t understand the world any more.

semodoxie - I posted my long winded version of my karma answer here:
http://ajdrew.blogs.pagannation.com/2007/08/03/karma/
Knd o f stoned on maxalt right now, so I might drift. Trying to stay focused ont he conversation.
On your HPS being on the Frost’s side, not sure what you mean by that. That she supports the book and its teachings or that she does not think that what I plan is ethical?
If it is the former, uh wow. If it is the latter, well I think you might have exceeded your HPS (which I think is a very good goal) in that she is obviously quick to prejudge (prejudice) me as I have not detailed the rite at all. All I have said is that I will sacrifice the Frosts in effigy. Anyone can look up the definition of the words which I choose very carefully and see that there is nothing which mandates the beheading, burning, disembowling, or other rumors that are floating around.
Ah, but I havent said that I am not going to set them on fire or what ever. Ye ye, silence is guilt. Sounds like a witch hunt to me.

Ok, I hear ya, I’ll stop messing with the socially challenged.

Semodoxie, I think you have already decided how you feel about your HP and HPS. If there is a choice between what someone else believes and what you feel to be truth, truth wins. I think there is danger in groupthink when it tries to trump truth. Your loyalty should be in being true to yourself. I’m not saying you have to cut ties with your HP and HPS, but you don’t have to buy into their beliefs either. Then again I’m a solitary because I don’t want my beliefs formed by anyone but myself, so take it for what its worth to you. We all have our best ways of learning.

After reading the recent blog posts of the Frosts I was wondering if you’ve read their post from June 29th (I think that’s the one I’m thinking of)? There’s a sentence in there saying that attacking other Wiccans/Pagans is hurtful and that those that do it aren’t Wiccans/Pagans. I found it interesting that they most likely said that as an attack against you, but with what they’ve been saying recently it would seem that they haven’t been taking their own advice.
I’ve been reading all of this stuff for quite awhile now. I haven’t said anything until this point because I don’t agree with attacking others childishly. But, I agree that what they wrote was wrong then and it’s wrong now. Time matters little in certain circumstances.
I’m also very interested in hearing their answers to several questions that have been asked of them. Mainly the ones about their background.
