Jostyrus and Psudopagan

Before I started this blog, I maintained a personal author’s forum at PaganNation.com. I closed that forum when it became clear that the folk at Pagan Nation were all being judged for my personal views on Gavin and Yvonne Frost. I do not speak for all members of Pagan Nation as Pagan Nation is not a cult (following) of mine. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. The thing is, that means I am entitled to my opinion as well. Unfortunately, sometimes I get carried away.

The short of the story is that a third friend (now former friend) made certain statements in support of Gavin and Yvonne Frost. I find most of those statements obscene and at the very core of an evil that I see in my community, an evil that threatens my children. So I made it clear to the now former friend that he is not welcome in my home / is no longer my kith. Somewhere in the fray, Jostyrus had said he completely agreed with that former friend, so I turned my guns on him.

A couple of years ago, I married Jostyrus and Psudopagan. When I did so, I had a little talk with Jostyrus explaining that if he were to ever hurt Psudopagan I would be forced to kick his ass. In turning my guns on him, I felt I was doing just that; kicking his ass. Unfortunately, I seemed to have kicked a little Psudopagan ass in the process. So at the time, I tried to make it perfectly clear to Psudopagan that I was not attempting to attack her in anyway.

Now, in retrospect, I see that attacking Jostyrus was most likely uncalled for. I say “most likely” because he has recanted and further explained his stance on the issue. In fact neither Jostyrus nor his very beautiful wife Psudopagan support the Frosts in any way, not even in silence or lack of action. They just think that my level of screaming should be turned down a notch. I can respect that. I say “most likely” because events have already unfolded, I have no way to know how they would have unfolded without my tongue-lashing. But most importantly, I say “most likely” because it does now seem that with even polite conversation on the subject, the man would have reconsidered his statements.

I want to publicly apologize to Jostyrus and Psudopagan for my earlier statements concerning Jostyrus’s support of Gavin and Yvonne Frost because it does seem most likely that the statements Jostyrus made concerning the Frosts were misspoken. Sure, I still believe they were way off in the Bruce matter but such should not have caused me to say those things that I have. They are far enough in the past and recent events have shown me that the two have learned from that experience. Holding something like that against them would be kin to saying I am not a good parent because of how much I drank when I was in the military.

I would be proud to welcome either of these two into my house (well, if it were not so messy) and call them my kith if they would have me do so. So would my wife and kin. To that end, I will be asking Sandpiper if it is OK to initiate both of them into the most sacred of our inner circles: The BSB Society (otherwise known as BS BS or double BS). If all agree, I think we should do this at this year’s IRWB.
