Piglet has died
August 24, 2007 – 11:50 pmAfter weeks of suffering, Piglet died tonight between midnight (last feeding) and this post. He was only two months old and never had a healthy day, but he had some good days. I had expected him to die in Kentucky, brought him there for that purpose. It seemed like he would go at any moment, so I brought him with me on my latest trip. The trip where I brought his sisters bodies to be burried. I figured he spent most of his short life there, it only seemed right he be burried there with his sisters. Instead, he faught and stayed alive for a few more days.
I am glad I had those days. Instead of living inside a box, I let him play in the grass under the sun. He didnt move about much, too sick, but I could tell he liked it.
So now one kitten out of five remains. His name is PoPo becaue he is black and white. Like his sisters, he was sick for a time but never reall got as sick as they did. I think he has an excellent chance as he has started to eat on his own, so much that I worry his belley will one day blow up. To prevent that, we don’t feed him as much as he would like.
Aimee has been clear that I may not keep him. He was ready to go some time ago, but I wanted to keep him because he provided snuggle warmpth for Piglet. I no longer have that excuse, so Rabitcha if you are reading this I have a kitten for you. Please take good care of him. I am sorry I couldnt manage to keep the one you liked alive. I still have no idea what I was doing wrong.

I am so sorry, A.J.. Just know you did your best..and the babies have known love..I too, lost kittens. Sometimes they came to me sick..sometimes they got sick after the fact..It is not easy job by any means to raise ophan kittens..especially those much from birth..

I’m so sorry A.J. I’m sure you werent doing anything wrong! You gave them more of a chance than they would have had if you hadn’t taken care of them! I saw how you loved on those kitties! Yea the big ol mean Yeti! LOL I’m looking forward to a new kitty POPO will be spoiled as much as the other two are!!$1,500 cat bed(our bed) and $3000recliners!They just let us live here!PoPO will be fat and spoiled! Rabitchka, PoPo is ready to go home with you whenever you are ready to have him. He still is missing a few patches of hair from the amoxicillin but it is growing back nicely. He is starting to get playful, and I have never heard a cat that purrs as loudly as him before in my life, you can hear him a room over.
