Broad Ripple Park Pagan Pride - Pedophilic literature distributed?

August 31, 2007 – 10:49 am

I received an email, which is a carbon copy of a letter addressed to Pagan Pride with the recipients email address of bewing13@sbcglobal.net. I goggled that email address to discover it seems to belong to a local Pagan Pride coordinator in Los Angeles.

Info on Pagan Pride Coordinator mentioned in email

I am not sure what this person’s connection is to the Pride Day, but according to this page Gavin and Yvonne Frost were merchants at the 2005 Pagan Pride Day event. In this email, I see a claim that the Frosts were providing pedophilic literature. I tend to assume this was selling their Witches Bible or the reprint The Good Witches Bible as the Frosts are listed as merchants and they do seem to want to sell that book as it is still available on their website and they have taken the step of self publishing the thing themselves.

“The Magick Shoppe - Ritual tools, books, clothing, jewelry, Gavin and Yvonne Frost
will be signing books”

Link to the PPP event in question

Before I posted this information I checked with the official “Pagan Pride Project” to make sure this was not another rogue event like the one I spoke about earlier. It does appear this is an official event.

Official List of PPP events.

The email that was forwarded to me in part reads:

“I am a Folish Asatru and am about to file a police report disclosing Duke Egbert’s practice of polygamy
and Gavin & Yvonne Frost’s dissemination of pedophilic prose obscenity in Broad Ripple Park at Pagan Pride Day in 2005.”

I do 100% without any doubt believe the Frosts Witches Bible is “pedophilic” in nature. Not being a judge or very educated in the laws of the land, I can not say if distributing it, selling it, or taking it across state lines is illegal. I do know that it clearly encourages people to break the law. The authors even state that they know their advice is illegal.

How to lower your chances of going to jail for pedophelia with quotes from Gavin and Yvonne Frost - Quotes their Lawyer doesn’t seem you to want to know about.

However, it does seem that the book is NOT protected speech as it encourages the breaking of law. It does seem that thus far at least one witness will testify that either it or other pedophilic literature was provided by the Frosts at this Pagan Pride Day. It is rather clear that there is a pattern that this occurs at official Pagan Pride Project events. So I wonder if this is not a matter for the FBI to investigate under the RICO act, after all I do believe interstate transportation of pedophilic literature is a federal matter.

Having seen biker friends investigated and busted for far less involvement in what RICO called a criminal conspiracy, I have to wonder why Pagan Pride Project would seem so willing to open itself up for such criminal charges. Now before anyone jumps my butt on this opinion, I am not praising RICO I am observing that it exists and wondering why PPP does not seem concerned about it. Especially if they provided transportation, lodging, or otherwise facilitated the transportation of this material across state lines.

This is becoming a very serious matter. Thank you one and all for the reports of what the Frosts have been doing at both official and unofficial Pagan Pride Day events. As I receive your information, I am posting that information here so folk can see the trend as a whole, rather than just spot incidents.

We were there last year as merchants (won’t be goin gback this year since they cheated me out of money for space not used due to their changing the date last year 2006.

I don’t remember the Frosts being there at the Park where the event was held.
I can’t tell you if their book was there since I was not on the look out for it.

I will check with a few of the other merchants that were there.
I am wondering if this wasn’t just a come on or if the Frosts were at the store itself or maybe did a no show

  3. Ok I can clear something up here.
The Frosts were not there as guests of the Indy PPD. They were there with the shop/merchant “The Magic Shoppe” in 2005.

  4. Rhiannon - One of the emails I have states that they spoke as guests of the event and they had a merchant table which sold both their Tantra book (which seems against PPP rules, not my call) and their Witches Bible although I think that email meant their Good Witches Bible which I -think- is what he is referencing as pedophelic literature. As I am not a lawyer, my opinion is not exactly a legal one, but I do believe the material promotes pedophelia and I am now working with people who work both the state of ohio and kentucky in the field of sexuality who I believe will soon be issuing statements on the nature of that book with their credentials.

I wrote to Indy PPD and asked about this.
The frosts were guests of the Magick Shoppe people in 2005.

    Here is the email

Had no idea at the time. The event wasn’t promoting them. The listing was
what the vendor stated was going to be at their booth. They were neither
invited, nor honored guests. PPP holds no affiliation with the Frost’s.

  6. Well now, that makes sense of the two seemingly different statements. The person writting says they spoke at the event, but does not say where they spoke. He has the impression the Frosts were there as part of the event & OBVIOULY the event knew they were going to be in attendance as they promoted the Frosts name as being in attendance, even if someone else flipped the bill.

The person who has written states that he purchased a copy of the Witches Bible (I assume he means The Good Witches Bible) from the Frosts at that event, the Frosts signed and dated the book, and he finds the material to be pedophelic in nature.

He seems very intent on filing a police report on the matter. I am not sure that is such a great idea. I think it would be much much much more beneficial to the Pagan Community if Pagan Pride were to enforce its own statment of ethics and not allow such material to be sold at its events.

Considering the content of that book and Pagan Prides CLEAR statement of ethics, I am shocked that they do not seem willing to take a stand on the matter.

  7. I can’t argue withyour logic in this case. I agree with everything you have said here.

    BTW good writing!

Oh check out my new blog post on the Frosts

I agree but I have the suspicion that the Indy PP guy/people didn’t know what was in the book until I sent them some of the pages that has chapter 4 up to read.
That lead to the comment from them.

I wonder if PP is like a lot of authors and really don’t want to hurt their pockets by taking a real stand on this topic.
I had also suggested to the person writing to me that they should put a formal statement up on their web page. I haven’t been there to check it out of late so I don’t know if it was done or not. I did tell them in my second letter that I did not wish to be affiliated with an organization which condoned such books that promote child abuse.

  9. I agree, chances are they had no idea about the pedophelic nature of that book. Which is why I feel it is necessary to inform such folk and yet there is strong opposition to even letter writting campaigns.

I think this is why the Frost’s lawyer is demanding I take down quotes from the book. They understand that one can not dispute that the matrial is pedophelic in nature, so they do not want people to know what is in the thing.

On the other hand, I think they refuse to stop selling it because that would indicate a consession and they refuse to yield.

So, should I be upset with this PPP event for allowing such to happen? No. Not at all. However it is clear proof that PPP is at a very minimum uninformed. Now that thy know the score, they should take action and make a stand forbidding the Frosts from attending a PPP event and banning that book from sale at their event.

After all, that does seem to be what their statement of ethics combined with their official statement about the one in AK indicates.
