Staying out of Trouble with Uncle Gavin
August 31, 2007 – 3:25 amStaying out of Trouble with Uncle Gavin
or The Frosts reach out to children part Du
“Letters arrive at the School of Wicca stating, “When I was first exploring Wicca in my teens, my teacher insisted that I must __ (insert your own bizarre or illegal act here). I did it. Now as an adult I am wondering how to undo it.”
From the Frost’s blog earlier today
Is Gavin Frost not the father of “(insert your own bizarre or illegal act here)” in the name of Wicca?
Seriously, I honestly think the man is getting confused about who is who and what is what. In his blog, he now seems to think that he is Uncle Gavin, ready with his correspondence course on Wicca to let “sex-starved” teenagers find real Wicca and not become Vampires.
Honestly, don’t just patronize me on this one, have I completely screwed up my medication again, have I somehow fallen into a parallel universe with some rather bizarre differences in who is who and what is what, or has Gavin Frost gone completely bonkers?
Can anyone who has read The Witches Bible explain this?

I’m at a total loss, AJ. I read that blog post, and it sounded so stupid, I couldn’t believe anyone in their right mind would listen to these people as authorities on ANYTHING! So, let me get this straight…If I meditate, and my guide happens to have been a flasher back in the day, I will get up from my meditation and go to the nearest park and flash someone? And how many books have they sold? How much more of their “wisdom” is out there for all to see? I’m going to have to do some more digging. Maybe it’s time to do some commentaries on all of their books. Gee, will Debra slap me with a libel or slander charge for stating my “opinion” that they are STUPID!!??!! Wouldn’t that give me a chance to tell the court my “opinions” about their instructions on sexual initiation? And then the court would have to read the book to see if my “opinions” were malicious lies with the intent to cause some kind of damage. Then more people would be aware that yet another Pagan is not willing to have her Spiritual Path connected to the lunatic fringe. I could live with that.
