Not my rescue!
September 14, 2007 – 7:18 amWhen a tigers get too close to humans, humans tend to shoot them. Here is a rescue attempt to save the tigers from being shot by humans. The guys on the elephant reportedly have dart guns and are trying to sedate the cat so they can move her. In the end, the elephant gets pissed and runs the cats off. After watching this video, I think that if I ever have to rescue a tiger from humans, I am just going right for plan B and having an elephant run them off.

Gina - That is what they were trying to do when the man lost his fingers. They got up on elephants, no doubt thinking the cat couldnt jump that high or would be afraid of the elephant standing there. They shot or shot at the cat, it looked up, saw a bunch of guys on elephants, jumped up and took the guys fingers.
Then the elephant got angry at being jumped on and ran the cats off. I like my fingers so I think I just want a trained elephant to run off cats. I dont want to actually be on the thing when it runs the cats off becasue, well look at the video again.
Aimee’s Mom once helped a hawk. I am thinking I would have made a phone call. I understand hawks are imediatly helped by state agencies (people who know what to do) and I also understand they can take out eyes with one talon.
I am going to stick with kittens and non-birds of prey. No lions, tigers, or bears… they scare me.

I misread u..sorry..utube did not want to load for me today…so I didnt get to see the vid..I one time did manage to help a sparrow hawk.. he was not fond of my ex husband or his father and bit both rather badly. For me he actually would track me down and fly to me to be fed and sit on my shoulder, how ever I was not able to walk out side with him because small birds would actually swoop down and attack us if they seen him..I manged to return him to wild shortly before I gave birth to my oldest son..He hung around around for a few months and eventually moved on..hopefully to make a family of his own..
