Raven Digitalis at MTV My first thought in hearing his name was; oh great yet another heep big mojo man. My second thought came upon seeing his picture, great another gothic Wiccan. My third thought was, oh great the MTV generation thinks Wiccans are Heep Big Mojo Goths. Then the young man opened his mouth and I realized how much I had stereotyped a moment earlier. Wicca has nothing to do with wearing black makeup or convincing yourself that you are too emo for your shirt (my body, for this song). But ya know what? In my lifetime I have written numerous books, held service for thousands of people, spoke at events across the United States, lectured at major universities, and been more public than I would ever again care to be. Something happened to change all of that. I received a traumatic brain injury. Now I have trouble holding my own attention so holding the attention of an auditorium, room, or even small gathering of people is not likely. I have even gone to the point of intentionally alienating most of my former friends, choosing instead to focus keenly on a much smaller number of people. Hellstorm Coven convicted of Murder

Hellstorm Coven convicted of Murder 18 year old Matthew Stegman's body was found shirtless and face down in a Dea Moines, Iowa cemetery. He had been stabbed to death. Additional blunt force trauma was also found. Shortly after the discovery of the body, police responded to a telephone tip and arrested five friends: Sheri Fisher (21), Andrew Johnson (22), Robert Johnston (27), Robert Myers II (24), and Terry Williams (22). The theory at the time was that Sheri Fisher had helped plan the murder, but that it was the four men who carried out he dastardly deed.   Back in the day, I was shopping with a friend at a local thrift store when a piece of pottery caught my eye. I lifted it and looked for the maker’s mark, sure enough I found what I expected; the Eye of Horus and the initials SS for Steven Sowers. It was my fiends work. We decided that you know you have made an impression on the world when your goods have blended into he scenery, showing up at garage sales and thrift stores. Are we to be taken seriously? I just got spammed again by the pagan community. In this case, I was directed to what claims to be the Ultimate Pagan Software. You tell me, if things like this continue to be cranked out in our name; should the general public take seriously that name? The Ultimate Pagan Software I wonder if this is not the ultimate pagan joke.  I wish I could laugh about it.  How do you suppose a Catholic would feel if he saw his spirituality promoted in this way?

What do you do when your friend’s wife cheats on him?

What do you do when your friend’s wife cheats on him? In a situation where a husband and wife are in a stately monogamous relationship, if you are friends with one of them and the other one has repeatedly used you, your family, and your friends as a cover story to carry out an extramarital affair; what do you do? Should you tell your friend? What if they are both your friends? Do you have loyalty to protect a friend by allowing yourself, family, and friends to be used for the cover up? Do you refuse to allow yourself to be used, but not out the affair? Is not telling that friend (lack of action) an action (lie) of its own? Nothing against open relationships, but flat lies just seem wrong.

The words coming out of my mouth…

Can you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth? Recently, I transposed a couple of names in a post. Nothing came of it. Months earlier, I transposed two names and all hell broke loose. I am not going to share those names because I would really like not to attract the attention of the person I thought I was speaking to. But I do want to share the story so that folk will understand one of the down sides. At a convention the year before I met my wife, a fellow author decided it was high time I was hooked up.
